A walk in the neighborhood that the Frank family lived in before they had to go in hiding.
We will meet for coffee at Cafe Blek, Waalstraat 48. (Take tram 12, get off at Waalstraat)
After coffee and an introduction, we will go to the statue and I will show you the apartment they lived in.
We will walk to her old school, the ice-cream parlor, the bookshop where she bought her diary and much more.
Meanwhile, I will tell you the story of the Jewish people in Amsterdam during the war, how this city underwent the German occupation.
This is a tour with a lot of information about Amsterdam and its inhabitants during the 2nd World War.
Not always a nice tale to tell, but I do feel that it is important to share the story.
Please note: this walking tour does NOT include a visit to the Anne Frank Museum.
